John Kavounas has been involved in Real Estate for 14 years beginning as a sales assistant with Intrawest in the Mountains of Colorado. While with Intrawest, Mr. Kavounas achieved his MBA from Daniels College of Business at Univ. of Denver and a Colorado Real Estate Broker License. After obtaining his degrees, Mr. Kavounas moved up from an assistant to a Broker Associate and joined IMI Resort where, over the next 6 years Mr. Kavounas consistently ranked the “Top Producer” selling luxury mountain real estate on projects throughout the central Colorado Rockies. Mr. Kavounas was asked to join Playground Destination Properties as Director of Sales at Copper Mt. Resort, CO, then was promoted to Director of Marketing and Sales for Keystone Mountain Resort’s $1.2 billion real estate development. In 2005 Mr. Kavounas was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Sales of The Four Seasons Jackson Hole, WY.

In 2007 Mr. Kavounas left the mountains and joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts in NY as Vice President of Residential Marketing and Sales. In this position, Mr. Kavounas was responsible for the Brand Compliance and Sales operations for over 50 projects and 10,000 residences and Hotel-Condominiums to be sold including the brands: W, Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis and Luxury Collection.  

As well, Mr. Kavounas was the Managing Partner and Co-Owner of Higgins Group Real Estate Company in Greenwich and Norwalk, CT. He left recently to focus on his own business with Laura Dahm at Red Canoe Partners.

Mr. Kavounas lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife and three daughters.

Ms. Dahm has extensive accounting experience ranging from Corporate Hospitality accounting with professional groups including Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Vail Resorts as well as young entrepreneurial groups requiring her to masterfully oversee all their accounting needs. During Ms. Dahm’s extensive experience as an Accounting Consultant, she specialized in procedural development, accounting standards compliance, financial reporting, cash flow reporting and budget development.
 
Ms. Dahm's responsibilities at Red Canoe Partners include accounts receivable and payable, financial reporting, consolidations, general ledger reconciliations, expense reporting, and tax reporting. Ms. Dahm often assists in the Company’s special accounting projects and ensuring the accounts adhere to key controls and policies. Ms. Dahm often offers insight to optimize profitability and efficiency.
